A young man from Ghanoli, who was going to Italy in search of employment, got lost in the forests of Belarus. The family of the 30-year-old youth of village Dasmesh Nagar Colony Ghanoli in Rupnagar district has not got any comfort for 11 months. The family demanded from the Punjab and Central Government to trace their son soon and bring him back to the country.
Ajmer Singh, father of missing youth Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha and his wife Anju said that Sukhwinder had gone to Turkey in July 2022, where he was employed in a hotel. The family said that a relative of theirs living in Italy came to them some time ago and lured Sukha and another of his colleagues to get a good job when they come to Italy.
According to the family, this relative assured that he would fly them to Italy and take the money only after the work was done. Three of these taxis turned back.

The Latvian police caught them and tortured them and released them back into the forest of Belarus. They wandered in the forest for many days. Meanwhile, his son Sukha and Mahendrapal (45), a person from Ganna village of Jalandhar district, were not found.
