A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a 140-feet deep borewell in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district. Efforts were made by various agencies to save him for the last 16 hours. Sumit Meena fell into a bore in Piplia village under Raghogarh assembly constituency, about 50 km from Guna district headquarters around five o’clock on Saturday evening. He was taken out in an unsanitary condition around 9:30 am today. He was taken to a hospital on life support, but was declared brought dead. Chief Medical and Health Officer of Guna, Dr. Rajkumar Risishwar said, “The child stayed in the bore all night in this cold weather. His hands and feet were wet and swollen. His clothes were also wet and dust was found in his mouth.” News-Patiala
