A schoolgirl died in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Bhawanigarh-Aloarakh link road here today. The deceased has been identified as Hargun Kaur (10), daughter of Gurpinder Singh, resident of Satghulla Colony, Bhawanigarh. Gursevak Singh, a resident of Satghulla Colony, admitted to the Civil Hospital here, said that he was going to his home from the city along with his aunt’s daughter Hargun Kaur on a motorcycle. Meanwhile, at a turn of the link road, the car coming from Aloarkh hit the motorcycle and they fell down. In the accident, Hargun died on the spot, while he was seriously injured. Colony residents admitted him to the hospital. Hargun Kaur used to study in the fifth standard.
Police Station Head Inspector Gurnam Singh said that the body was sent to Civil Hospital Sangrur for post-mortem. He said that a case will be registered and further action will be taken.
