A private bus of New Guru Kashi Service going from Sardulgarh to Bathinda overturned in a dirty drain in village Jeevan Singh Wala of Bathinda district. The bus was full of passengers and left for Bathinda from Sardulgarh. The incident took place around 2.20 pm.
A rescue operation is being conducted by the administration with the help of the surrounding people to evacuate the passengers. There was a problem in evacuating the passengers due to the drain falling down the bridge, so a crane was used and the injured passengers were pulled out.
The passengers injured in the accident are being immediately sent to the hospital. According to the information, the condition of some of the injured is said to be serious, but the exact number of such passengers could not be known till the time of writing the news. Details on this are awaited.
