Yendagari (Andhra Pradesh), 20 December
A surprising incident has come to light in West Godavari district where the dead body of a 45-year-old unidentified man has been sent in a parcel to a family. A letter was also sent along with the parcel, demanding more than one crore rupees for a loan taken by the family years ago.
District Police Superintendent Adnan Naeem Asmi, giving information about the matter, said that the box containing the body was sent to the family’s house under construction on Thursday night. A letter was also given to the family demanding Rs 1.35 crore from them. The official said that the police is investigating the matter to find out more details. According to police sources, the box was delivered in an autorickshaw to Sagi Tulsi’s under-construction house in Yendagandi village of Undi mandal.
Incidentally, Tulsi’s husband was missing for the past 10 years and never returned home. Meanwhile, Tulsi started building a house at a distance of about one kilometer from her parents’ house. In the meantime, a stranger sent her a helping hand of building materials in boxes. According to the police, the unidentified person told Tulsi that they both belonged to the same caste and that she was a widow, so he was helping her. Similarly, a message was sent to Tulsi on Thursday that she will receive some electrical items like motors and other items. Meanwhile, the dead body came out of the box that was found. -News-Patiala
The letter found with the body
When the body was found, Tulsi’s family informed the police. Along with the dead body, they also found a letter claiming that Tulsi’s husband had taken a loan of Rs 3 lakh in 2008, which has now increased to Rs 1.35 crore. If you don’t want anything bad, you should pay, the letter said. However, the police said that the family is not financially strong. The SP said that we are investigating all the missing people in the last three to four days. Things will be clear to us after the post-mortem of the body. Meanwhile, Asami said that the younger son-in-law of the family is missing since yesterday.
