Pathankot, 15 December
A total of 36 candidates have remained in the fray within 11 wards after the withdrawal of nominations in Narot Jaimal Singh Nagar Panchayat Elections. Among them, apart from 11 candidates each from Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and BJP, 3 independent candidates have entered the fray. There are a total of 3679 voters in 11 wards within this Nagar Panchayat. After visiting Narot Jaimal Singh, it has come to light that in this election, BJP to open its account, Congress to retain its earlier victory and Aam Aadmi Party to take advantage of its government in Punjab to make its party president. She is trying hard. It is worth mentioning that in the year 2016 Narot Jaimal Singh got the status of Nagar Panchayat. According to the information, Narot Jaimal Singh Vidhan Sabha Constituency falls in Bhoa and the current MLA of Aam Aadmi Party in Bhoa Constituency is Lal Chand Kataruchak who is also a Cabinet Minister in the government. Narot Jaimal Singh has only one water tank which is insufficient to supply water to the entire Narot Jaimal Singh. Realizing this problem of the people, the minister laid the foundation stone of the water bore on the roadside outside the boundary wall of the PWD rest house on December 1 this month and announced that another new tank would be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore. This will solve the water problem completely. Rajesh Kumar Nishu, the standing candidate of the Congress party from Ward No. 11, termed this foundation stone of the minister as an election stunt. He said that laying the foundation stone on the roadside at a PWD site is an unpleasant joke with the people of Narot Jamal Singh. To get bored, one should first choose the right place.
