News Patiala:– Punjab Minister Balbir Singh today visited Rohti Basta, Dhangera, and Mandaura procurement centers to take stock of the ongoing paddy procurement. He also interacted with the farmers and workers.
Dr. Balbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government is ensuring the smooth procurement of crops during the ongoing season. He added that the purchase, payment, and lifting of paddy for sale in the markets are being collected digitally to avoid any problems for the farmers.
The minister also said that the state government is committed to the welfare of the farmers and is taking all necessary steps to ensure that they get a fair price for their produce. He appealed to the farmers to use new agricultural equipment, such as Super Seeder, Happy Seeder, and Baler, for crop residue instead of burning the stubble.
