Punjab Government Removes Urdu and Farsi Words from Registry

The Punjab Revenue Department has taken a major decision to simplify the registry process by removing Urdu and Farsi words from its records. Now, only Punjabi and English will be used for registration purposes. This move is aimed at making the registry process more accessible and user-friendly for the common people.

The Revenue Department has issued a new notification of Sale Deed/Bay Nama, under which the old working system is now completely discontinued. The new system completely removes Urdu and Persian words from the registry.

Earlier, all the registries conducted in Punjab under the records of the revenue department mostly used Urdu and Persian words, which were often difficult for the common people to understand. The new system is expected to make the registry process more transparent and efficient.
