News Patiala: August 4th:- Security forces and terrorists clashed in the Hallen Abjam area of Kashmir on Friday, leaving three young people injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The security forces have surrounded the area and a search operation is underway to track down the terrorists. It is believed that the terrorists were hiding in the area and were alerted to the presence of security forces.
An official said that a joint team of the police, CRPF, and army launched an operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area. The terrorists opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated. The exchange of fire is still ongoing and it is likely that two to three terrorists are trapped.
The incident comes a day after two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Shopian district of Kashmir.
