License holders have not renewed their licenses, despite their expiry.
News Patiala:- August 3, 2023:- The District Magistrate of Patiala has directed that the licenses of 54 travel agents/IELTS consultants be suspended with immediate effect. The reason for the suspension is that the license holders have not renewed their licenses, despite their expiry.
The licenses are issued by the DC office and are valid for a period of 5 years. Two months before the expiry of the license, the license holders are required to submit an application for renewal to the DC office. However, the 54 license holders in question have not done so.
The District Magistrate has given the license holders until August 7, 2023, to either renew their licenses or surrender them. If they fail to do either, their licenses will be canceled and they will not be able to renew them in the future.
The District Magistrate has taken this action to ensure that only legitimate travel agents/IELTS consultants are operating in Patiala. He has also warned that any other license holders who fail to renew their licenses will face similar action.
