Justin Trudeau and Wife Sophie Announce Separation After 18 Years

News Patiala – August 3, 2023 – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau have announced their separation after 18 years of marriage.

The couple made the announcement in a joint statement on Instagram, saying that they had made the decision after “many meaningful and difficult conversations.” They said that they remain “a close family” and that they are “focused on raising their kids in a safe, loving and collaborative environment.”

The Trudeaus have three children together: Xavier, 15, Ella-Grace, 14, and Hadrien, 9.

The announcement of the Trudeaus’ separation has come as a surprise to many, as they had been seen as one of Canada’s most popular and successful couples. However, the couple has faced some challenges in recent years, including the death of Trudeau’s father, former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, in 2000.

The Trudeaus have not said what the future holds for their relationship, but they have asked for privacy as they “navigate this new chapter.”
