The Nandas were honored by the Garib Sewa Society on their return to Patiala. Jaswinder Julka, president of the society, said that the family’s feat was an inspiration to others.
“They did not take any financial help from anyone,” Julka said. “They traveled on their own and met people from different cultures and backgrounds. This is a great example of how people can come together and achieve great things.”
The Nandas said that they were grateful for the support they received from the people they met along the way.
“We met so many wonderful people,” Sunny Nanda said. “They shared their stories with us and taught us about their culture. We are so grateful for their hospitality.”
The Nandas’ journey is a reminder that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. They are an inspiration to us all.
