Robbery at gunpoint in Hoshiarpur: Company employee robbed of Rs 38.40 lakh

In a shocking incident, an employee of a private company was robbed at gunpoint of Rs 38.40 lakh in Hoshiarpur. The incident took place in Rampur Haled village of Kandhi area of Dasuha.

News Patiala: 31th July:- The victim, Bharat Saini, had taken cash of Rs 18.40 lakh after delivering a parcel in Hoshiarpur. He was on his way to Talwara to deliver the remaining two parcels when he was attacked by two scooty-riding youths. The youths beat him up and took away the cash.

Saini was able to give the police a description of the suspects. The police have formed special teams to search for the accused. A raid is being conducted in the area.

Unidentified robbers robbed an employee of a private company at gunpoint of Rs 38.40 lakh in Rampur Haled village of Kandhi area of Dasuha in Hoshiarpur. The employee had taken cash of 18.40 lakhs by giving the parcel in Hoshiarpur. After this he had to give a second delivery at Talwara. Meanwhile, while going to Talwara, two scooty-riding youths beat him up and took away the cash.

Employee Bharat Saini is a resident of Khelra Police Station Palani District Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) and his mother Bhavani works in Chandigarh Logistics Company. He had left for Hoshiarpur with three parcels from Chandigarh. Where he gave the first parcel to the manager of a private company based in Hoshiarpur, from where he took Rs 18.40 lakh.

After this, the remaining two parcels were to be given to Vijay Sahdev Jeweler of Talwara. After this he contacted Sahdev Jeweller. Meanwhile, Atul Verma, son of Vijay Jewellers, reached Hoshiarpur to pick her up. From where he took Bharat Saini in the car and left for Talwara. The boy of the jeweler took the car from the link road of Haryana town in the forest area and stopped the car near village Rampur Haled to freshen up.

Meanwhile, two scooty riders coming from behind beat up the employee and fled from him after taking Rs 18.40 lakh at gunpoint. Atul Verma ran away with the remaining parcel. It had jewelery worth Rs 20 lakh. DSP Dasuha Balveer Singh and police chief Balwinder Singh said that special teams have been formed to search for the accused. A raid is being conducted in the area. The culprits will be arrested soon.
