Rajasthan: More than 80 MLAs supporting Gehlot announced their resignations, the government is in crisis.
Jaipur, September 25, 2022: The Congress government in the state was plunged into crisis when more than 80 MLAs supporting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced their resignation against the move to make Gehlot’s rival Sachin Pilot as the Chief Minister.
After the announcement, these MLAs have gone to the residence of the Governor of Rajasthan.
It is to be mentioned that Gehlot is contesting for the post of All Hindu Congress President and that is why he will have to leave the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
Gehlot supporters say that the next chief minister should be from their faction.
(ANI): As Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot is likely to resign from his post before filing his nomination for the Congress President poll, state legislator Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that all the MLAs are angry and are resigning as they were not consulted before the decision.
