Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today announced that Ladda and Mandi Ahmedgarh toll plazas will be closed from September 5.
It will last till 12 o’clock tonight. Congratulating the residents, the Chief Minister said, the toll authorities wanted an extension of six months. But the state government refused. He said that since the first day of formation of the AAP government in Punjab, they have been working hard for the development of the state and the welfare of the people.
He said that all those involved in wrongdoing, including former ministers and even chief ministers, would face strict action. He said that action will be taken against every accused who steals the money of Punjabis. Even if he is sitting in any position.
The government is not taking any vindictive action against anyone. Every complaint against corruption is first investigated and then further action is taken.

But, a former Member of Parliament of the Aam Aadmi Party from Patiala Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi has accused Bhagwant Mann of misleading people. They have questioned that this toll plaza is going to be closed tonight because of the expiry date. Then what is the need for gimmicks.
ਸੰਗਰੂਰ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੱਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਅਹਿਮਦਗੜ੍ਹ ਟੌਲ ਪਲਾਜ਼ਾ 5 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਇਹ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ 12 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਚੱਲਣਗੇ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ, ਟੌਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
