There is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab in the next 4-5 days. An orange alert has also been issued by the Meteorological Department. Along with rain, there may also be hailstorms in many places. With the onset of monsoon, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab during the next 4-5 days from today.
Giving this information, Dr. Pavneet Kaur Kingra, an expert of the meteorological department of the Punjab Agricultural University, said that in view of the heavy rain, the department has issued an orange and yellow alert for July 20-21 in Punjab. Strong winds will also blow during these days.
He said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in the areas adjacent to the hilly areas of Punjab. Along with this, there may be hailstorm in many parts of Punjab. Meteorologists have advised farmers as well as common people to plan their work keeping the weather in mind.
