A passenger train parked on platform No. 4 at Ludhiana station caught fire this morning. According to information, the train was bound for Hisar at 3.20 pm.
This train is to run from Ludhiana. There was a commotion at the station. It is learned that GRP and RPF personnel reached the spot to put out the fire.
The vendors at the station also provided water to control the fire.
It is learned that the investigation so far has revealed that a person threw a cigarette inside, which caused the box to catch fire. No casualties were reported.
