District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Tarsem Mangala and Chief Judicial Magistrate/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Sushma Devi conducted a surprise inspection of the new District Jail Nabha. On this occasion, Judge Tarsem Mangala asked the prisoners living in the said prison about their problems and any complaints.
Jail Superintendent and other officials were instructed to pay special attention to the health and medical facilities of the prisoners. The jail kitchen and its food, which is served to the jail inmates/detainees, were checked. The problems of the prisoners about food were heard. All the staff was present on this occasion.
District and Sessions Judge Tarsem Mangala said that the jails of district Patiala are inspected from time to time. So that the prisoners can be informed about their legal rights.
