Instructions are given by officials of various departments to speed up vaccination

Complete covid vaccination of eligible citizens of the district to avoid the covid epidemic. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Gurpreet Singh Thind held a meeting of officials of various departments and all senior medical officers to achieve the target of one hundred percent of Covid vaccination.
On this occasion, ADC said that now it is being seen that there is a continuous increase in the number of Covid cases in the last few days. The reason for this is the indifference of the people towards the Covid precautions, he said that the Covid vaccination is the only effective measure to get rid of the Covid epidemic. While reviewing the performance of covid vaccination in all those health institutions, he said that covid vaccination of eligible citizens should also be ensured as soon as possible.
Officials of those departments were told that under the Azadi Ka Amrit Campaign, Punjab Government Health Department has arranged free Covid booster dose till September 30 for all citizens above 18 years of age. All eligible citizens should make maximum use of it. Apart from this, now the time of booster dose of the vaccine used to be administered 9 months after the first second dose. He is now down to 6 months. He asked the education department officials to ensure that eligible school children from government schools as well as private schools get both doses. He said that a meeting will be held again after a week to review the work of the Covid vaccination.

Veenu Goyal, Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Darshan Lal, Senior Medical Officer from Mata Kushalyan Hospital, and Dr. Assistant Professor from Medical College. Balpreet Kaur, Jagmeet Singh from District Education Department Secondary, Deputy DEO Maninder Kaur from District Education Elementary, Sukhwinder Singh Functional Manager from DIC, Jagmeet Singh from District Education Department Secondary, PRTC. Superintendent Sabar Ali from the department, Sukhwinder Singh from District Factories Department were present.
