ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਡੀਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਚੋਰੀ

ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ-7 ਸਥਿਤ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਡੀਸੀ ਆਈਏਐਸ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਾ ਤੋੜਿਆ। ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਨਕਦੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੀਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਸਵੇਰੇ ਡਿਊਟੀ ‘ਤੇ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੌਲਦਾਰ ਹਰਨੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ‘ਤੇ ਸੈਕਟਰ-26 ਥਾਣਾ ਪੁਲਸ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਫੋਰੈਂਸਿਕ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਸੈਂਪਲ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹਰਨੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ‘ਤੇ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਰਾਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾ ਸਕੀ ਹੈ।
2014 ਬੈਚ ਦੀ IAS ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਏ.ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਸੈਕਟਰ-7 ਸਥਿਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਨੰਬਰ-696 ਅਲਾਟਮੈਂਟ ਹੈ। ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਉਠਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਦਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਰਾਏਪੁਰ ਖੁਰਦ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਹਰਨੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਵੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਡਿਊਟੀ ‘ਤੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅੱਠ ਵਜੇ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਗੇਟ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਾ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦਕਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਖਿਲਰਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ। ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

ਹਰਨੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਈਸਟ ਡਵੀਜ਼ਨ, ਸੈਕਟਰ-26 ਦੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਟੀਮ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ। ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ‘ਚ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਘਰ ‘ਚੋਂ 2 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਨਕਦ, ਦੋ ਜੋੜੇ ਟੂਟੀਆਂ, ਇਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਚੇਨ, ਇਕ ਡਾਇਮੰਡ ਈਅਰ ਸੈੱਟ, ਇਕ ਬਰੇਸਲੇਟ ਸੈੱਟ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ |
Thieves broke the lock of DC IAS Sakshi Sahni’s official house in Mohali Sector-7, Patiala late on Tuesday night. The thieves got their hands on diamonds and gold jewelry along with cash of Rs two lakh. On the complaint of Punjab Police Constable Harnek Singh, who arrived on duty in the morning, Sector-26 police station reached out for investigation.
After taking samples from the forensic team, the police registered a case against Harnek Singh under the theft clause against an unidentified person. Yet, the police have not been able to trace the thieves so far.
2014 batch IAS Sakshi Sahni Patiala’s D.C. Earlier, he visited ADC in Mohali. His name is Government Housing No. 696, Sector-7. Taking advantage of the lack of security at night, the thieves carried out the theft.
Harnek Singh, a constable from Raipur Khurd, had been on duty at his residence since morning. When they arrived at 8 am, as usual, the lock on the main gate was broken. While the luggage was scattered inside. No security personnel is deployed at the residence at night.
Harnek Singh immediately reported the incident to Sakshi Sahni. A police team including DSP East Division, Sector-26 Police Station Incharge Maninder Singh reached the spot. As per the directions of Sakshi Sahni, the constable’s investigation revealed that Rs 2 lakh cash, two pairs of taps, a gold chain, a diamond ear set, and a bracelet set were stolen from the house.
