How to make a general caste certificate in Punjab

To apply for General Caste Certificate, the applicant can avail of the benefit of the General Caste Certificate Service by submitting the application online at home at https://connect.punjab.gov.in or at the nearest Sewa Kendra Can go to There will be no need to submit a physical file in any office.
This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sukhpreet Singh Sidhu.
He said that at present the service centers were offering the service of General Caste Certificate in offline mode and hand signed certificates were being issued. However, now for the convenience of the general public, the Department of Administrative Reforms has digitized the process of acceptance and delivery of file of General Caste Certificate.
He said that this service has been made available from June 07, 2022, through Sewa Kendra as well as Connect Portal.

ਜਨਰਲ ਜਾਤੀ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਬਣਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਿਨੈਕਾਰ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਘਰ ਬੈਠੇ https://connect.punjab.gov.in ‘ਤੇ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਜਾਤੀ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਫਾਈਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਫ਼ਲਾਈਨ ਮੋਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਰਲ ਜਾਤੀ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਦਸਤਖ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦਕਿ, ਹੁਣ ਆਮ ਜਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕੀ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਨਰਲ ਜਾਤੀ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਦੀ ਫਾਈਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਸਵੀਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਲੀਵਰੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਜੀਟਾਈਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੇਵਾ 07 ਜੂਨ, 2022 ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਕਨੈਕਟ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੀ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
