A young man was killed by unknown persons at Hira bag Street No. 3 in Patiala. The body of the youth was recovered after the Republic Day parade. After which the police were informed. Police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The deceased has been identified as Mani Khan, aged around 25 years.
DSP City to Mohit Agarwal, who reached the spot for investigation, said that the police of Urban Estate police station has registered a case of murder against unknown persons. Initial investigations revealed that the young man was killed after a feud. The deceased youth Mani Khan used to go to the truck union to work as a helper for truck drivers.
The victim was stabbed in the head with a sharp weapon. The youth was reportedly drinking alcohol with his brother and friends late on Tuesday night. Police are currently questioning the deceased’s brother about how long they had been together for the night. The body has been taken in custody and sent to Rajinder Hospital.
