Patiala News, January 27, 2022: On the second day of filing of nominations for the Punjab Assembly elections today, nomination papers have been filed by five candidates in eight assembly constituencies of the Patiala district.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Sandeep Hans said that on 27th January 2022 nomination papers from two candidates from Patiala Rural, two candidates from Patiala Urban, and one candidate from Sanour constituency have been submitted to the Returning Officers.
He said that for 110-Patiala rural, Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Balbir Singh and Rahul Kamal Nain Singh Saini as Returning Officer-cum-ADC. (D) Nomination papers have been filed with Gautam Jain and Pankaj Mohinder as Independent candidates from 115-Patiala Urban and Independent candidate Gurmukh Singh has filed nomination papers with Returning Officer-cum-SDM Charanjit Singh. 
114-Independent candidate Jagdev Singh in Sanour constituency has filed nomination papers with Returning Officer-cum-Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jasleen Kaur Bhullar. He said that complete information about the candidates can be obtained through the mobile app ‘Know Your Candidate’.
The District Electoral Officer said that no nomination papers have been filed by any candidate in Assembly constituencies 109-Nabha, 111-Rajpura, 113-Ghanour, 116-Samana, and 117-Shutrana.
