New Delhi, October 11, 2023: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided the residence and office of NewsClick founder Prabir Purkayastha in connection with an alleged violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
The CBI has registered an FIR against NewsClick and is investigating allegations that the portal received foreign funds in violation of the FCRA. The Delhi Police had earlier alleged that funds were fraudulently infused by an active member of the propaganda department of the Communist Party of China, Neville Roy Singham.
NewsClick has denied the allegations.
