US President Donald Trump today said that with his second term, the golden age of America has begun and the whole world will soon be peaceful and prosperous. Trump said he would ask Saudi Arabia and OPEC to lower oil prices. He asserted that if prices fall, the Russia-Ukraine war will end immediately. Addressing the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum through video conferencing, Trump said that his administration has accomplished in four days what other governments could not do in four years. The American president said, “The golden age of America has begun, our country will soon be stronger, united and richer than ever.” Trump, talking about his already announced efforts, said that thanks to them, the entire planet will be more peaceful and prosperous. Trump said he would take many other steps in his second term.
With reference to US-China relations, Trump said that (Chinese counterpart) Xi Jinping called him and the two countries are going to have very good relations. Trump said, “I like President Xi a lot, but Covid has put a strain on our relationship.” Hopefully, things will get better and hopefully, China will help stop the Ukraine war.
