Cold wave continues in Punjab, Haryana, mercury reaches 2 degrees in Faridkot

Severe cold continued in many parts of Punjab and Haryana on Thursday and during this Faridkot recorded a minimum temperature of 2 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, Bathinda also remained under the grip of bitter cold where the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.6 degrees Celsius, while Pathankot and Gurdaspur recorded minimum temperatures of 4.6 and 4.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

Other cities of Punjab also remained cold

According to the department’s data, Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius and Patiala recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius. Chandigarh, the common capital of both the states, recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature was recorded at 2.8 degrees Celsius in Hisar in the adjoining state of Haryana. Sirsa and Karnal were also under the grip of severe cold, the temperature of both places was recorded at 3.2 and 5.3 degrees Celsius. According to the report issued by the department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.6 degrees in Rohtak and at least 8.1 degrees Celsius in Ambala. News-Patiala
