The death of an old man involved in farmers’ movement on Khanuri border

An elderly man involved in farmers’ agitation for ten months on the Dhabi Gujran (Khanuri) border has died at Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. The dead body will be brought to the Dhaka Gujran border and will be taken to the elder’s village for cremation after paying respects. The authorities of the Dhaka Gujran Border have said that Jagga Singh (80), son of Darbara Singh, a resident of village Godara, district Faridkot, was the father of five sons and one daughter. He was involved in the peasant struggle on the said front for the last 10 months. A few days ago, after he fell ill, the old man was admitted to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, where he died today. The last rites of the elder will be performed at Bajakhana near Godara village.
