Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today paid tribute to the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary. He said on X that his contribution to the freedom and development of the country will always inspire us to make ‘Ek Bharat-Srestha Bharat’. He said, ‘Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji, creator of modern India, well-wisher of farmers, iron man, ‘Bharat Ratna’ on his death anniversary! Their contribution in shaping the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation will always inspire us to work towards making ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’.’ Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that Vallabhbhai Patel participated in many other major movements including the Champaran movement and the Quit India movement for the independence of India and during this time he was also imprisoned.
