The stray animals roaming on the roads of Ludhiana city and surrounding areas have created a problem for the passers-by. On the roads near Tajpur Road, Habowal Kalan Jodhewal Basti here, such stray animals usually roam on the roads. The number of stray animals in the smart city of Ludhiana has increased tremendously these days. Since there is a dairy complex on Tajpur Road from here, the number of these unclaimed animals increases even more on Tajpur Road and the surrounding roads.

Many animals stand or sit in the middle of the roads for several hours due to which not only the traffic is affected but also it becomes difficult for the pedestrians to pass. Apart from this, the number of such unclaimed cattle in the morning and evening is also on the road leading from Samrala Chowk to Jamalpur. Due to the heavy traffic of large vehicles on this road, sometimes these animals also become the cause of serious accidents. Apart from this, unclaimed cattle also roam on Ludhiana-Firozepur Road, Samrala Chowk to Jodhewal Basti, Arya College Road to Haibowal side. In order to relieve the people from abandoned animals, the administration also sends them to the nearby cow sheds, but many dairies often leave the abandoned animals unattended.

To prevent such phenomenon, although many animals kept in dairies have been tagged, but many tagged animals are also seen roaming on the roads. If the administration takes action against the concerned dairymen by identifying the animals with such tags, then not only such phenomenon will be stopped but also people will be able to get relief from unclaimed animals.
