PM Modi Assamese Shawl: Board exams are approaching, and in this context, like every year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the “Parikhya Pe Charcha” program with children. On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented an Assamese Gamosa to the children and shared information related to it. He said that in Assam and North Eastern states, it is a symbol of respect and women empowerment. He expressed his fondness for weaving it. When the Prime Minister was discussing the exams and preparations with the students, people also noticed the shawl on his shoulder, which is also considered as the cultural heritage of the state of Assam.
