This is his 39th fifty in T20 Internationals. Along with this, he broke the world record of Virat Kohli, who scored 38 fifties. This record has been broken almost two years after Kohli retired from T20 internationals. Kohli scored a match-winning half-century against South Africa in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Kohli retired from T20 internationals after Team India won the title.
