Indian cricket team captained by Vaibhav Suryavanshi will face South Africa in the second Youth ODI on Monday. The Indian U-19 cricket team, captained by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is playing a three-match youth ODI series in South Africa. The second match of the series will be played at Willmore Park in Benoni on Monday. India won the first match by 25 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method. Captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bat remained silent in the first ODI. Despite their lack of impressive performances, India reached the 300-run mark by batting first. Rain interrupted the match twice. Rain is also expected in the second match. The Indian team will look to win the second match and take an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the series. Meanwhile, hosts South Africa are in a counter-attacking mood.
In the first ODI, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for 11 off 12 balls, while Harvansh Pangalia scored 93 and RS Ambris played a brilliant innings of 65. The first ODI in India was supposed to be broadcast live on the Jio Hotstar app, but could not be due to technical glitches. Star Sports Network later announced the cancellation of the live broadcast on social media. However, Indian fans need not worry, as South Africa is also live streaming the matches of the series on their YouTube channel. It also broadcast the first ODI live on its YouTube channel.

The second Youth ODI between India and South Africa will be played at Wilmore Park in Benoni at 1:30 PM IST. The toss will be half an hour earlier, at 1:00 PM IST. Under the captaincy of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, India recorded their first youth ODI win, breaking the 19-year-old record held by Pakistani player Ahmed Shehzad.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi didn’t do much with the bat against South Africa, but he managed to win the match as captain. Vaibhav became the youngest captain to win a Youth ODI match. He achieved this feat at the age of 14 years and 282 days. The emerging player surpassed the record held by Pakistan’s Ahmed Shahzad, who achieved the feat against England in 2007. Shahzad made this record at the age of 15 years and 141 days.
