Elon Musk’s warning at the World Economic Forum
During the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Elon Musk spoke openly about the future of AI. Famous investor Larry Fink was also present on the stage with him in this discussion. During the conversation, Musk said that the speed at which AI, robotics and other modern technologies are progressing can fundamentally change the entire human civilization, economy and everyday life.
According to him, “I don’t know what the world will be like after 10 years, but looking at the speed at which AI is progressing, it seems that by the end of 2026 it can be smarter than any human.”
Will AI surpass humans?
Elon Musk did not stop here. He further said that if the current pace continues, then by 2030 or 2031, AI can surpass not just any single human being, but also the collective intelligence of the entire humanity. This means that a time may come when machines together will be able to think, understand and take decisions more than humans. This statement is quite shocking for those people who till now have seen AI only as a helpful tool.
Real change will come from the intersection of AI and robotics
Musk believes that not just AI software, but the combination of AI and robotics will bring the biggest change in the world. When Artificial Intelligence moves from the screen to physical machines i.e. robots, then its impact will be much deeper.
He said that humanoid robots equipped with advanced AI can usher in a new economic era which can be compared to previous industrial revolutions or perhaps even a bigger change than them.

According to Elon Musk, this future is not just an imagination, but preparations for it have already started. He told that many companies including Tesla are working towards bringing humanoid robots for the common people.
If everything goes according to plan, such robots may be available for sale in the market by next year. These robots will be able to handle many types of tasks, from factory work to daily household tasks.
