There will be continuous holidays from January 24 to 28 in many states. These holidays fall in the last week of January and are associated with Republic Day. In fact, Republic Day is a national holiday on January 26.
In many states, schools have been ordered to remain closed due to local festivals and birthdays of great personalities. In some districts of Uttar Pradesh, like Prayagraj, schools have been closed till January 28 due to Mauni Amavasya and Kumbh bath. Holidays may be extended due to cold wave in some states.

January 25 (Sunday): All schools and government offices in the country will remain closed on this day as a weekly holiday.

January 27 (Tuesday): January 26 is celebrated as Republic Day in schools or offices, so the next day is January 27 as a holiday. However, this decision is taken by the local administration on the spot. On the other hand, holidays may be extended in Uttar Pradesh and other neighboring states due to extreme cold or on the orders of the local district administration.
January 28 (Wednesday): In districts like Prayagraj, official orders have been issued to keep schools closed due to Mauni Amavasya.
