Which will bring relief for children as well as government employees. Christmas will be a public holiday across the country on December 25.
December 25, 2025, Christmas will be a national holiday. Almost all schools, colleges and government offices remain closed on this day. This year, Christmas Day falls on a Thursday. With which the students will get the benefit of mid-week break and get some relief from studies.
Some regional festivals also occur in December. Due to which schools and offices remain closed in various states.
Boxing Day is celebrated on 26th December. It is mainly celebrated in Mizoram and Telangana. Students from these states can get a break of two-three days in a row. Which makes vacations even more enjoyable.
In the last week of December, several states of North India experience extreme cold. Therefore, state governments can declare winter holidays depending on the weather. However, winter holidays have been declared in several states, including Punjab. Winter vacation has been announced in Punjab schools from December 24 to December 31.
