Apple did a new experiment this year by bringing ultra-thin iPhone Air in the iPhone 17 series. The company had high expectations from it, but it has not been able to live up to the expectations. Its sales are very low compared to other models of 17 series. Due to this the company is thinking of reducing its production. Considering the lower than expected demand, the company will make about 10 lakh units less. Let us know about this in detail.
iPhone Air is 19 percent thinner than iPhone 6
The iPhone Air is Apple’s thinnest model so far and its thickness is only 5.6mm. Its thickness is 19 percent less than the company’s previous thinnest model iPhone 6, launched in 2014. Talking about its features, it has a 6.6 inch display with promotion technology. It has a single 48MP camera in the rear and a single 18MP center stage lens in the front. Apple has equipped it with the A19 Pro chipset of Pro models. The starting price of iPhone Air in India has been kept at Rs 1,19,900.
Sales are not happening as per expectations
The sales of iPhone Air are not as per the company’s expectations. Experts say that instead of trying iPhone Air, people are buying those iPhone models which they are already using. On the other hand, this time Apple has also given great upgrades to the base model iPhone 17 of the series and it is having record sales. In countries like America, United Kingdom, France, China, Japan and Switzerland etc., customers have to wait for 2-3 weeks for iPhone 17. Due to this, the company has decided to increase its production and now about 20 lakh more units will be made.
