New Delhi: Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran’s mother Mallika Sukumaran has reacted to the notice sent by the Income Tax Department to her son. Sukumaran, the director of the Malayalam film ‘L2: Empuran’, was issued a notice by the Income Tax Department earlier last week, seeking clarification on the earnings of three of his films in 2022. This news has come in the midst of the ongoing investigation against the film’s co-producer Gokulam Gopalan by the Enforcement Directorate.
Mallika told the motherland news, ‘My son has done nothing wrong. We are not afraid of any investigation. He also thanked those who supported him and his son in this matter. Mallika mentioned the Malayalam superstar Mammooty to give emotional support to the family, who are recovering from their illness these days. The film stars Mohanlal in the lead role, as well as director Prithviraj. This is the second part of the ‘Lucifer’ franchise, while the third part has already been announced.
