Bhubaneswar, April 16
Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) should be dissolved as other agencies to investigate the economic crimes. Talking to reporters at Balwanshwar Airport at the time of Puri, “Akhilesh said that when the Congress was in power, it was an enforcement directorate and is now facing the trouble due to the same agency. “I would like to speak about ED instead of National Herald,” he said about the Country Level Prize against the Congress investigating agency. The Congress formed Eddie and is now in trouble because of the agency. I had earlier asked a very senior journalist that there are many organizations like Income Tax Department to investigate economic crimes. There is no need for ED. It should be dissolved. “The Conforesment Directorate has filed a chargesheet in a special court against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and others in the National Herald case, in which he has been charged with money laundering of Rs. 988 crore.
Asked about the BJP’s ‘double engine’ government’s success model, Yadav said that both the engines are running on various lines in Uttar Pradesh. -Ptyti
