Ten cartons of illegal liquor recovered from the car

The Police and Excise Department have arrested a person who was carrying illegal liquor in a Fortuner car. 10 packs of liquor have been recovered from the car. The name of the arrested person is being told as Sunny, against whom a case has been registered under the Excise Act.

Police station head Davinder Kashni said that police station division number-1 had received information that a person living in the local Kabir Nagar has been selling liquor in Pathankot for a long time by bringing liquor from nearby circles. On this, ASI Sunil Kumar and the Excise Department team blocked the Fortuner car coming towards Shahpurkandi Chowk near Teacher Colony Mor, and when they searched, they found 5 cartons of Royal Stag liquor, 4 cartons of Old Monk Rum and 1 carton of blenders from the car. A total of 120 bottles of reserve were recovered. The alleged accused has been produced in the court and his 1 day police remand has been obtained. He said that the car has been taken into possession.
