Punjab News: In an important operation, the Punjab Police has arrested six members of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang, including Kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambian and Youth Congress leader Sukhmeet Singh, who were involved in several murders.
The official said that these arrests were made by Counter Intelligence Amritsar foiling possible target killing in Punjab. DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on X, “In a major breakthrough, Counter Intelligence Amritsar foiled a major target killing in Punjab by arresting six members of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang, including Puneet Lakhanpal Sharma and Narinder Kumar Lali.”
Six sophisticated weapons and 40 live rounds have been recovered from the accused who have been evading arrest for three years. He was also linked to the incident of indiscriminate firing at a hotel in Rajasthan and the ransom demand of Rs 5 crore. These Kabaddi players were directly involved in the murders of Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambian (2022) and Sukhmeet Singh alias Deputy (2021). The DGP further said that an FIR has been registered at the Amritsar police station. ANI
