In view of the possibility of Delhi Assembly elections in February 2025, today Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party and said, “I too could have built a Sheesh Mahal”. Prime Minister Modi was addressing a public meeting at Ashok Vihar’s Ramlilah Ground.
The Prime Minister reportedly targeted Kejriwal for building a residence for himself as Chief Minister, saying, “The country knows very well that Modi never built a house for himself but built more than 4 crore houses for the poor.” are ‘I too could have built a palace for myself’.
The Prime Minister said, I request you all, whenever you interact and meet the slum dwellers, tell them on my behalf that if not today, tomorrow they will get permanent houses.
Cities will play an important role in realizing the goals of ‘Developed India’. We are working with the concept that in ‘Developed India’ every citizen of the country should have a permanent home.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also became emotional during his address and said, “When I am here today, it is natural that many old memories come up. When the country was fighting against Indira Gandhi’s dictatorship, Ashok Vihar was the place to stay for many people like me who were part of the underground movement.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 1,675 newly constructed flats for residents of JJ clusters and also handed over keys to eligible beneficiaries at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. –ANI
