Businessman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani will attend the swearing-in ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump tomorrow. The Ambani couple, who reached the US capital Washington on January 18, were among the 100 guests who had a ‘candlelight dinner’ with Trump last evening. He was the only Indian on the guest list, which also included Vice President-designate JD Vance and his Indian-origin wife Usha Vance. According to information, the Ambani couple will attend the swearing-in ceremony on January 20 on the personal invitation of the Trump family. The Ambanis have close ties with the Trump family. In 2017, when Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump came to Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Mukesh Ambani was there. Ivanka was an adviser to President Trump at the time. He was also present when Trump visited India for the last time as US President in February 2020. -News-Patiala
