From Gorakhpur, two already married women got fed up with their husbands and got married to each other. According to information, fed up with their alcoholic husbands, two women left their homes and married each other. Kavita and Gunja aka Bablu got married on Wednesday evening at a Shiva temple called Chhote Kashi in Deoria.
They informed that they met for the first time on Instagram and due to similar situations they became close to each other. Both suffered domestic violence at the hands of their alcoholic spouses.
In the temple Gunja played the role of the bridegroom, vermilioned the poem and they completed seven rounds. The women promised to support each other throughout their lives.
“We were fed up with our husbands’ drinking and their animosity,” said Gunja. It forced us to choose a life of peace and love. We decided to stay and live life as a couple in Gorakhpur.
One of the two women said that her husband is an alcoholic, she is unable to bear his daily beatings. After the violence did not end despite repeated pleas, she decided to return to her parents’ home. Kavita and Gunja said that they are determined to stay together and will not let anyone separate them, though they have plans to rent a place to stay, rent a room and travel as a married couple. get started IANS
