Elections are being held for the first time for 40 wards for the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC). Today, the process of voting in 39 wards for HSGMC has been carried out in a peaceful manner, while Amanpreet Kaur has been declared the uncontested winner from ward number-25 (Tohana). Voting took place today at 398 polling booths for 39 wards. Where 245167 voters (69.85 percent) out of 350980 voters cast their vote. Panthak Dal (Jhinda) President Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Sith Samaj Organization President Didar Singh Nalvi and Haryana Sikh Panthak Dal President Baldev Singh Kiampuri have won. While Shiromani Akali Dal (Haryana) Azad President Baljit Singh Daduwal has faced defeat.
According to the information received, Panthak Dal (Jhinda) president Jagdish Singh Jhinda has won from ward number-18 (Asandh) with a margin of 1941 votes. He defeated his opponent Balkar Singh. Similarly, the president of Sikh Samaj Organization, Didar Singh Nalvi won from ward number-13 (Shahbad) with a margin of 200 votes. Haryana Sikh Panthak Dal president Baldev Singh Kiampuri has won from ward number-10 (Bilaspur) with a margin of 249 votes. While from ward number-35 (Kalanwali) Shiromani Akali Dal (Haryana) Azad president Baljit Singh Daduwal has faced defeat with a margin of 1771 votes. Advocate Binder Singh Khalsa has won from Kalanwali.
Candidates of Jhenda group won from Kaithal and Guhla wards
Shahbad Markanda/Guhla Chika (Satnam Singh/Ram Kumar Mittal): Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections went off peacefully today. No untoward incident was reported during the voting. Jhenda group has won in Kaithal district. Didar Singh Nalvi of Sikh Samaj won from ward number 13 of Shahabad with 200 votes. Didar Singh Nalvi got 2485, Beant Singh 2286, Manjit Singh 1519, Kartar Singh 641, Sukhmeet Singh 380, Sajjan Singh 286. A total of three wards were created in Kaithal district. From Ward No. 20 Guhla, Major Singh Guhla of Jagdish Singh Jhinda Group defeated his opponent Sukhchain Singh by 857 votes. Major Singh got a total of 2408 votes. Baldev Singh Habari of the same group defeated his opponent Sutendra Mata from ward number 22 by 1200 votes. Meanwhile, Panchayat candidate Baldev Singh Bhinder managed to win the election from Ward No. 29 Kangathali. Baldev Singh Bhinder defeated his opponent Gurmeet Singh by 238 votes. After the counting of votes, certificates were given to all the winning members. Meanwhile, during the ongoing voting in Ward No. 20 of Guhla, a bride reached the polling booth and exercised her right. Talking to reporters after casting her vote, the young woman Prabhjot Kaur said that she is getting married today and the wedding procession will come shortly. Prabhjot Kaur said she felt it was important to fulfill her duty to vote before marriage. Voters present at the polling station praised his courage.

Ambala (Sarbjit Singh Bhatti): Gurtej Singh from Ambala city and Rupinder Singh Panjokhara from Ambala cantonment won in Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections today. Supporters of both played drums, distributed laddus and played bhangra in joy of victory. During this time, the winning candidates assured to manage the guru-ghars with full diligence and dignity and to make great efforts for the propagation of Sikhism. Elections were conducted peacefully at five seats in Ambala district. 54 booths were constructed in the district under the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections. Meanwhile, Gurjit Singh Dhamoli defeated Gurdeep Singh Kulardpur in Ward 3 Narayangarh 2014. In Ward 4 Barara Rajinder Singh punished Sukhwinder Singh Mann, Ward 5 Ambala under Cantonment-2 Rupinder Singh Panjokhara punished Sudarshan Singh Sehgal. Under Ward 6 Ambala City-1 Gurtej Singh got 2617 votes and in his competition Gurdeep Singh Bhanukheri got 2459 votes and similarly under Ward 7 Nagal Sukhdev Singh got 1911 votes and Balkar Singh got second. who got 1715 votes.
