On the eve of the 76th Republic Day in the district, the district administration honored the family members of the freedom fighters by visiting their homes. The family members of the freedom fighters who contributed in the freedom struggle of the country were presented with medals and sweets. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the district administration visited 38 families of freedom fighters belonging to different blocks of the district and presented honor symbols. He said that the freedom fighters faced great difficulties and sacrificed their lives to liberate the country and their immense contribution can never be ignored. He said that the district administration is always committed to provide all possible help to these great patriots, freedom fighters and their families. He said that the district administration will also honor the family members of the people who participated in the freedom struggle in the police line on January 26. It is worth mentioning that the administration today awarded these families in different blocks of the district through the Rural Development and Panchayat Department.
