The weather will change again in Punjab, there is a possibility of rain on this day, alert issued


PUNJAB Weather Update– In North India including Punjab and Haryana, even on the last day of the year, the fury of cold continued due to the cold wave of dense wind, due to which people shivered even during the day. Cold wave is going on in the plains due to snowfall on the mountains. Light fog was also seen in the morning. According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, Bathinda in Punjab last night and Ballowal this morning were the coldest cities in the state. Ballowal recorded a maximum temperature of 11 degrees and Bathinda recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists have predicted cold waves on January 1 on the occasion of New Year.

Along with this, a fresh western disturbance will affect the weather in Punjab on January 4, due to which rain is likely to occur at many places for three days. According to the department, the mercury will fall further and the intensity of cold will increase. Mercury has been recorded below 15 degrees in 14 cities of Punjab. A drop of 0.2 degrees was recorded in the minimum temperature of Punjab. The lowest mercury was recorded at 5 degrees in Bathinda.

Weather for the next 24 hours
According to Skymet Weather, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir may experience light to moderate rain and snowfall during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur in Tamil Nadu (Delhi Weather Update). Dense to very dense fog may occur in parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Ground frost is likely in different parts of Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. A cold day is expected in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh. Cold wave conditions are likely to form in Western Himalayas.
