Here, the Home Science Department organized an exhibition of the products made during the last week to promote the ‘Learning and Earning’ scheme under the ongoing Health and Taste campaign in the Mata Ganga Khalsa College Manji Sahib Kot under the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. On this occasion, the students brought ginger and turmeric pickle, Sanjeevani powder, amla longi, amla balls and beetroot and amla kanji staffs. It may be mentioned that an effort has been made by the Department of Home Science to connect the young generation with traditional and healthy food items instead of junk food. Department Head Prof. Neeru Garg informed the students about the innumerable benefits of turmeric, ginger, sahajan, amla and encouraged them to include their miraculous health properties, easily available and nutrient rich fertilizers in their daily life. On this occasion, the students and all the staff bought these items with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Gagandeep Singh appreciated the efforts made by the students and the department.
