An important meeting of police officers was held in Punjab’s Amritsar regarding law and order. In which Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav also participated. Police officers from Commissionerate Amritsar and border districts Gurdaspur, Batala, Amritsar Rural and Tarn Taran attended the meeting chaired by DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the security system and maintain peace and harmony in view of Republic Day 2025. This is the second visit of DGP Gaurav Yadav to Amritsar after the incidents of bomb blasts started in Punjab since November.
The meeting mainly focused on counter-terrorism operations, action against drug trafficking and action on organized crime.
The police and security arrangements were reviewed in detail and appropriate instructions were issued to the authorities concerned to ensure police presence at important places, conduct security operations and take other preventive and investigative measures.
