New Delhi, January 11
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal today claimed that the BJP has decided to make former MP Ramesh Bidhuri its chief ministerial candidate in the Delhi Assembly elections. However, the BJP has dismissed Kejriwal’s claim as a ‘baseless rumour’. On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has accused the ‘AAP’ leader of spreading rumors for political gains. Shah, while addressing the ‘Jhugi Basti Pradhan Summit’, said, “Will Kejriwal now decide about BJP’s chief ministerial face?” Who is he to make such claims?” The BJP leader alleged, “Kejriwal is trying to mislead people, people of Delhi understand his tactics. ‘Lies, betrayals and broken promises’ are Kejriwal’s attributes.” It is significant that Kejriwal had claimed during the press conference that he had learned from ‘reliable sources’ that BJP candidate from Kalkaji Constituency Ramesh Bidhuri would be given the next one or two seats. The Chief Minister will announce the candidate in days. Kejriwal challenged Bidhuri to come forward for a public debate so that the people of Delhi know who is better to lead them. -News-Patiala
