BJP ‘betrayed’ Delhi’s Jats on reservation issue: Kejriwal


New Delhi, January 13

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP of betraying the Jats of Delhi over the reservation issue. Kejriwal questioned the BJP as to when the Jats would be included in the Centre’s list of Other Backward Classes (OBCs). The AAP leader met a delegation of Jat leaders at his residence today ahead of the February 5 assembly elections. Kejriwal said that the Jats of Delhi have been included in the OBC list of Delhi, but not in the Central list.

The former Chief Minister said during the press conference, “Jats of Rajasthan get admission in Delhi University and its colleges; AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital and all the central government institutions get jobs, but not the Jats of Delhi. had promised to give OBC reservation at the central level, which has not been fulfilled yet. The AAP leader said, “I want to ask Modi, Shah and other BJP leaders, when will they include the Jat leaders of Delhi in the Centre’s OBC list?”
